SENIORS CLUB

More good days, for longer.

King St Vets Seniors Club – Because with the right care, ageing
can still be happy, active, and comfortable for your senior pet.

What looks like ‘slowing down’ in your pet could actually be pain preventing your pet from doing daily things like getting up from bed, doing moderate exercise, recovering from playing or even eating or drinking.

We are proud to offer Seniors Club, a free program designed to ensure optimal health and quality of life for our aging companions (pets aged 7+yrs). Early detection and proactive care are key to managing age-related changes and maximizing comfort.

As your beloved companion enters their senior years, their needs change, and proactive care becomes even more critical. At our core, our commitment is to provide the highest standard of care and be a strong voice for your pet’s well-being. This is why we actively encourage regular check-ups every 6 months for our senior cats and dogs.

The Goal for Senior Pets : Health, Comfort, and Longevity

A senior pet wellness exam isn’t just a routine visit—it’s an investment in your pet’s comfort, health, and happiness. We want to work with you to ensure their senior years are truly golden. We focus on several key principles to ensure your pet enjoys their golden years to the fullest:

Prevent Reversible & Painful Diseases

Early detection is key. Many age-related conditions, if caught early, are manageable, and even reversible. Regular screenings and assessments prevent immediate illness and chronic, painful diseases.

What is Normal (and What Isn’t)

Understanding the rate at which pets age (ex: human years) and recognizing subtle signs of illness helps you better identify the support your pet needs, even between Vet visits.

Detecting Hidden or Silent Diseases

Pets are masters at hiding discomfort and illness – kidney disease, dental pain, heart issues, and osteoarthritis often progress silently. Specialized diagnostics detect these hidden diseases before they cause significant suffering or irreversible damage.

Preventing Procedures or Emergencies

Proactive care is the most cost-effective approach. Regular check ups and early intervention help avoid the need for costly, stressful emergency procedures down the line.

Aging is Natural, Suffering Is Not

Aging is a natural process, but pain and decline are often preventable or treatable. We aim to ensure your pet remains comfortable and pain-free, addressing any changes in mobility or behaviour as potential signs of underlying issues.

Preventing Unexpected Goodbyes

Our goal is to maximize your pet’s quality time with you. Regular senior care helps us manage chronic conditions, identify life-limiting illnesses early, ensure a better quality of life for longer, and prevent difficult, unexpected decline.
