Big News at King Street Vets: Dr. Africa Passes Her Australian Veterinary Examination!
We have some fantastic news to celebrate! Our brilliant veterinarian, Dr. Africa Sanchez-Vasquez, has officially passed her Australian Veterinary Examination (AVE)!
First off, a quick reassurance for our patients and pet parents: Dr. Africa originally qualified as a veterinarian in Spain and has been fully capable, highly skilled, and qualified to care for your beloved animals here in Australia under her limited registration. However, obtaining full Australian registration requires passing a rigorous series of written, oral, and practical examinations.
Juggling a busy schedule at the clinic while pouring endless hours into studying for these exams was no easy feat, but Dr. Africa tackled the challenge with incredible hard work and determination. The process even involved getting hands-on field experience with large farm animals—and let’s just say she is quietly confident she won’t be needing to examine a cow ever again!
We could not be prouder of her amazing achievement and dedication. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Africa next time you see her around the clinic—we are so thrilled to have her on our team and look forward to watching her career flourish here at King Street Vets!
