Three yearly dog vaccine

Recent development and research has led to the introduction of a new generation of vaccines for dogs in Australia.
They are scientifically proven and guaranteed to provide THREE years protection against parvovirus, distemper and infectious hepatitis.
This will reduce vaccine load and risk of adverse reactions.
This vaccination is recommended by the Australian Veterinary Association.

What does this mean for your pet?

Your dog will now be vaccinated for parvovirus, distemper and infectious hepatitis once every 3 years.

Parainfluenza and Bordatella (both causes of canine infectious tracheobronchitis) will be given every year, along with a full health check. There is currently no vaccine that offers three years of protection against this disease.
Canine infectious tracheobronchitis is prevalent in the dog population and in our local community. Every dog is potentially at risk. It can lead to life threatening pneumonia and death in very young, old or immunocompromised patients.
Vaccination is a requirement in all boarding facilities.

So, nothing much has changed. It is still very important to bring your pet to the vet each year for a health check and vaccination at their regular due date!
